Sree Mookambika Vidyanikethan is situated in the highly populated and prestigious housing colony of Chandra- nagar in the outskirts of Palakkad town. The School is open to all students irrespective of caste, creed or status in society. The school functions as an integral part of the Bharatheeya Vidyanikethan which is the Kerala Sector of Vidyabharathi. We got accredited to NIOS in the year 2009-10. The school started in 1987 with the blessings of the most prominent personalities of Vidya Bharathi which is the largest non-Governmental Educational Organisation in India. All the activities and programmes in school are in tune with the rich cultural heritage of Vidyabharathi. Panchanga Sikshan which emphasises on Saririk, Yoga, Nythik, Music and Sanskrit, is also included in our syllabus from Arun (LKG) to STD VII, We follow NCERT books and BVN books. We also have Kaliveedu (PRE-KG) for children to get a scholastic and homely atmosphere before getting admitted in Arun Class. Now our School has completed 30 years of meritorious service in the field of education and many of our former students have attained high places in society. There is a very enthusiastic school management committee with repre- sentatives from parents and well wishers which ensures the smooth running of the school. The Mathrusamithi (Committee of Mothers) of this school helps in all activities of the school. They attend SOPANAM classes very enthusias- tically which inspire them with good values and help them to bring up their children in the best possible manner to become model citizens of India. The Poorvavidyarthi Samithi (Committee of old students) work hand in hand with the School management.
